SYMA X5C Explorers Review

This Syma X5C Review covers all the important points and features of the X5C to help you make a buying decision wether this quadcopter is right for you. The Syma X5C is one of Amazon's 10 best sellers and it's no secret why. For $100 or less, you have a scaled down version of a DJI Phantom 2 Vision+ in a package that's ready to fly (RTF). Don't let that scare you away because the X5C is very easy to fly with the assistance of "Easy" mode, defined by you via the Radio Controller, and doesn't take long to master. If you're on a budget, then the Syma X5C is a very good option for you!

The Syma X5C includes a 4 channel 2.4gHz Radio Control that gives you control of the 6 way movement that the drone is capable of. It has a range of up to a half mile (direct line of sight) and has an auto shutoff if you forget to turn it off.

One of the biggest problems with most drones is wind. Most quadcopters can handle 5-10 mile an hour winds, but as the wind speed increases, the difficulty of flying also increases. With the Syma X5C 2.4G 4 Channel drone, the wider span of each rotor arm makes it much more stable in wind. Flying in wind is part of the hobby aspect of drone flying. Many enthusiasts will go out and fly drones in light winds on purpose to make things more interesting.

What Is A Drone, And Can I Fly One?

A Drone, in terms of this site and our hobby, is a private hobby-class radio controlled unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) that has a range of less than a mile and are not to be flown higher than 400 feet, further than a clear line of sight allows, and absolutely not for devious purposes (spying, eavesdropping, surveillance flights, etc...). We are hobbyists, not government nor criminals. The drones we recommend are to be flown for recreational purposes only, and we do not endorse the misuse of UAVs in any way.
